Again I welcome you to Forest Heights STEM Academy . We have a busy and exciting year in store for us. I know that together we can build a group of responsible, independent, lifelong learners. Attendance
Third grade has a very rigorous curriculum. Attendance is very important. If your child is absent, it is the responsibility of the student to request all missed assignments on the first day back to class.
Edline
Edline is a way for you to monitor your child’s progress. Your username and password will be given this week.
Homework
Students will be given Homework Choice Boards every Monday. Together you can choose the activity or project to complete. On Friday's five students will be chosen to share their chosen activity/project. We encourage every child to read 20 minutes every night.

Morning Drop-off Procedures
- Carpool students may not be dropped off prior to 7:15 a.m. Please do not drop students off before that time. Students will not be allowed in the building prior to 7:15 a.m.
- Carpool students may be dropped off in the front of the school ONLY.
- Please pull all the way up to the front of the line so that other cars may also drop off students. Please follow the directions of the duty personnel on where to drop off students.
- Students are only allowed to the exit the vehicle on the passenger side. For the safety of your student, please DO NOT allow him/her to exit from the driver’s side of the vehicle.
- Please make sure your student has gathered all of his/her belongings and is prepared to exit the car when you stop. Our carpool line is long and we want to ensure all students can be dropped off on time and in a safe location.
Afternoon Pickup
- K-5th Grade pick-up begins at 2:25 p.m.; 6th-8th Grade pick-up begins at 2:40 p.m.
- The K-5th Grade pick-up lane is the lane closest to the building, near the curb.
- The first pick-up lane is for K-5th Grade students ONLY; parents who also pick up 6th-8th Grade students will need to use the outside pick up lane. The middle lane should remain clear for traffic to move through.
- Parents should pull all the way to the cones and line up for pick up.
- Only pick up at numbered cones; students will not be allowed to go to their rides unless they are at one of the numbered cones or escorted by an adult.
- Students WILL NOT be allowed to walk across the parking lot without being accompanied by an adult. Parents parking on the hill must come down and get their children.
- Our duty staff works hard each day to make sure your child is safe and monitored. Please assist them by adhering to their requests regarding drop off and pick up.
